About:
Clint Mazur is a Technology Leader with over 20 years of experience working for a large Health Services company. His career has ranged from coding financial and ITIL systems to running large infrastructure teams responsible for transforming organizations, making strategic technology decisions, managing large and complex programs, and vendor relationships.
A technologist at heart, Clint began installing smart devices at home and quickly became underwhelmed with home automation capabilities. A simple scenario: When I enter a dark empty room, turn on the lights; but if someone is sleeping in that room, just turn on a night light made Clint realize the current smart home landscape lacks sensors to provide this capability resulting in trapped value in any smart device on the market. When he couldn’t purchase a Smart Home Occupancy Sensor, he decided to build one.
“The purpose of the Smart Home Occupancy Sensor is to allow smart home automation to be less binary and start catering automation in a manner that humans act. In the past home automation has been self-centered and never considered others. This sensor brings capabilities that can make home automation act how humans want it to and make a smart home feel like the magical sci-fi home we were promised” - Clint Mazur
